The program is aimed at providing essential building materials to a temple in the Vavuniya area, which is facing significant shortages and lacks proper facilities. The donations help in improving the temple’s infrastructure, supporting religious and community activities. These efforts not only help preserve the temple but also enhance the spiritual well-being of the local population, ensuring that they have a proper place for worship and community gatherings. Donations directly contribute to the region's cultural and spiritual growth.
CHALKING OF KIRI VEHERA - 2019
In 2019, a donation initiative focused on supplying the required materials for chalking the Kiri Vehera Chaitya. This ancient Buddhist stupa, an important religious monument, needed the chalking process to preserve its structure and appearance. Chalking involves applying a protective coating that maintains the integrity of the stupa’s surface, safeguarding it against weather damage and ensuring its longevity.
